Guitar Classes

a question about acoustic n electric guitar classes?
so i’m taking guitar classes for my acoustic guitar for about half a year and now i want to learn how to play the electric guitar. i talked to my mom and she said yes. just to be really sure, i want to know that is taking electric guitar classes and acoustic guitar classes the same thing or does it have something different about each guitar?
To play either an acoustic, acoustic/electric, or electric guitar requires that you learn some basics that applies to both styles of playing. Learning how the basic scale is arranged, learning about chords, learning finger exercises & chromatic exercises, and learning how music is arranged for guitar, i.e. Tab is the same place all persons interested in guitar should start. After you are exposed to the basics then you select your style. It sounds like electric guitar has your interest right now. There are also bass electric Guitars. Take a look at guitartricks.com. if you try their full access membership you can cancel after a month – it is month to month and very simple. They have a look inside survey which shows you what they have to offer. I like their Core Learning System. Once you download it you always have access to any portion. But many of their instructors give specialized instruction to enhance the basics. i.e. fingering and strumming techniques. The neat thing is that after the Core system is complete you select a style – electric guitar, jazz, country, etc. As you learn your selected style of preference, i.e. electric, they have songs broken down by instructors to help you to learn popular songs, i.e songs played on the electric guitar. You will probably get tips on whether to play with three singles, a humbucker and a single, two humbuckers, etc. And they even have a lesson on taking an electric guitar apart, cleaning it, and re-assembling it! So you might want to take a look at it before you invest in private lessons. Then when you do you can start at a level to get the most assistance for your dollar per hour!! Good luck.
